Try different keywords in your search
There are usually many different keywords to describe the item you're looking for. Generally using two or three keywords at a time will give you a wide range of results.

To narrow your search, specify a color, brand or type and be specific
If you're shopping for a pair of black Nine West sandals, be sure to enter all descriptors. This will keep you from having to sift through all types, colors and brands of shoe to find what you want. Remember, the more specific, the better.

Advanced Search Syntax
The buySAFE Shopping search engine returns results based on the presence of your search keywords in the title of the items offered for sale on the site. You can modify your search to include or exclude specific words, include at least one word, or specify an exact phrase. Try these search options to refine your searches.

• How to include all the words:
  Typing 'ring+diamond' or 'ring AND diamond' (without quotation marks) will return results that include both 'ring' and 'diamond' (Note: buySAFE Shopping's engine performs this type of search by default when you enter multiple keywords.)
• How to get results with at least one of the words:
  Typing 'emerald OR sapphire' will return all results that include either the word 'emerald' or the word 'sapphire'
• How to exclude a word:
  Typing 'ring -diamond' will return all results containing the word 'ring' that do not also include the word 'diamond'
• How to specify an exact phrase:
  Typing 'diamond engagement ring' will only return results that exactly match this phrase

Use the letter "s" with care
Sometimes the use of the letter s can help - or hinder your search. If your first search doesn't yield what you're looking for, trying adding or deleting an s.
